Checkout is on Stripe. Enter your Q-SYS Core Locking ID there and we email the activation code after payment. Leave it blank and we email a link to enter it later. One license covers one Core.

Sold by Stripe, the merchant of record, through its Link service. Tax is calculated at checkout. Tax-exempt organization? [Contact us](https://freshavlabs.com/contact/) before you buy.

A license is not refundable once its code has been issued. See the [refund policy](https://freshavlabs.com/legal/refunds/). A 10-minute demo is built into the plugin.

Architectural lighting in a Q-SYS room usually arrives as a second control system: its own processor, its own wall stations, its own programming tool, and its own service call every time a look changes. Lamina puts the looks on the Core. It speaks sACN (E1.31) directly, stores the presets itself, and exposes every channel, trigger, and fade time as a Q-SYS control.

## In Q-SYS

* Up to 15 presets plus a dedicated Off look and an Emergency look: presets crossfade on a global or per-preset time, Off on the global time, and the Emergency look snaps
* 512 output channels and 512 input monitor channels, every one of them a pin, plus a paginated on-screen DMX monitor with editable output values
* Console-style command pad: digits with THRU, AND, AT, FULL, OUT, ENTER, CLEAR and RELEASE, driving a live command line and a working-buffer summary
* sACN input with priority arbitration, source name and IP filtering, an idle-timeout kick back to a fallback look, and an Rx Source readout naming the tracked source
* Fire-alarm input that recalls an egress look on a contact, wired normally open or normally closed
* Preset export / import as a text blob for backup and redeployment
* Lamina Faders included free: an assignable fader bank, up to 32 faders across up to 24 banks, that discovers the controller automatically and drives its channels from a wall panel or UCI

## Built for the wall station

A dedicated lighting processor with a station on the wall stays sealed around one job: the looks live in a box the AV integrator does not own, and every change is someone else's truck roll. Lamina replaces the station, not the rack. Preset triggers are pins, so a wall button, a touch panel, the scheduler, and room-combine logic all recall the same look through the same path.

## The console is optional

Lamina takes sACN in as well as out. Point a console at it, build the looks on real faders, arm save, and capture: with Capture Source set to Live Input, the incoming universe snapshots straight into the preset. Set Passthrough to Off and the console is decoupled. The input keeps monitoring but can no longer drive the room, and the captured looks keep running without it.

## Emergency egress

With Fire Alarm Enable on, a contact on the Fire Trigger pin snaps the room to a saved egress look and locks the control surface: preset recalls, the command pad, and channel writes are held until the contact clears, then the room crossfades back to what was running before.

> **NOT a certified life-safety / emergency-lighting device.** The Fire Alarm / Emergency override is a convenience integration - it recalls an egress look on a fire-alarm contact - and is not a UL924-listed, code-required emergency lighting control unit, not a substitute for code-mandated emergency luminaires/inverters/transfer devices, and carries no life-safety certification. It runs on a single, non-redundant Lua thread and depends on the Core being powered, licensed, and functional. Specifying/installing it must not replace any AHJ-required emergency lighting system.

The license gates sACN output at all times, including during an alarm, so the emergency path is not license-exempt. The backup activation code is mandatory on any fire-alarm-wired deployment: a failover onto an unlicensed backup Core lands the emergency path in a demo-expired, silent state.

Changelog

v1.2.5 - Sep 27, 2026

* The status bar shows the most serious active condition: an alarm, then halted output, then a rejected import. It no longer reads OK after an import or an alarm release while output is still halted.
* During an alarm with output halted, the status bar reads EMERGENCY - egress HALTED and the reason, instead of EMERGENCY - egress active.
* A rejected import stays on the status bar until an import succeeds or the script restarts.
* A value written to Status from outside the plugin, over QRC for example, is overwritten at once and logged as a warning.
* No controls added, removed, or renamed.

v1.2.4 - Sep 3, 2026

* A malformed Dest IP now stops output with a Fault on the status bar, instead of sending nothing silently. Spaces in Dest IP are ignored.
* Kick Timeout starts at 2 seconds on a newly placed block, so turning on Kick Enable works without changing it.
* Upgrading: a block placed before 1.2.4 keeps its Kick Timeout. If that is 0, Kick never fires; set it above 0 if you use Kick.
* The emulator's \*100000000000000 Locking ID, reported by Designer 10.4, is now marked as not purchasable, as EMULATOR already was.
* No controls added, removed, or renamed.

v1.2.3 - Sep 2, 2026

* Both plugins now carry the current Fresh AV Labs logo, centred in the header.
* No functional change to either plugin.

v1.2.2 - Sep 2, 2026

* The interface dropdowns now list the Core's live network interfaces and rebuild themselves whenever the network changes, so an interface that was down when the plugin started still appears.
* An interface you have selected stays in the list if it disappears from the Core, and the status bar names it, instead of the selection quietly going stale.
* Output and input come back on their own when an interface returns. You no longer have to press Refresh.
* The status bar says which of three things is wrong with a selected interface: it is not present on this Core, its link is down, or it has no usable IP.
* The debug window logs the Core's interface list at startup.

v1.2.1 - Jul 12, 2026

* Version-alignment release. No functional change to either plugin.

v1.2.0 - Jul 12, 2026

* Receiver no longer captures the plugin's own multicast loopback, which could freeze the live-to-workbench loop after a reopen
* Seed-once defaults: Min Priority and Out Priority 100, FPS 15
* New Rx Source readout showing the tracked source name, IP, and priority

v1.1.3 - Jul 8, 2026

* Controller header cleanup; Refresh relocated

v1.1.2 - Jul 8, 2026

* Lamina Faders: customizable Clipboard Text prefix; header alignment

v1.1.1 - Jul 7, 2026

* Lamina Faders: Copy/Paste now copies the fader values (the look), not the start channel

v1.1.0 - Jul 5, 2026

* First pack release (Lamina Lighting Control + Lamina Faders)
