A stateful control plugin for SnapAV WattBox IP power controllers. Point it at the WattBox address and credentials and every outlet, meter, and alarm on the unit becomes a Q-SYS control and pin.

## In Q-SYS

* Per-outlet on, off, timed reset, and a state-following toggle
* Per-outlet and system-wide voltage, current, and wattage on metering-capable models
* UPS charge, load, estimated runtime, health, and a power-lost alarm to wire into notifications
* Auto reboot switched on and off from the design and read back from the unit; timing settings written from the design
* Outlet names read from and written back to the unit
* Connection state, firmware version, service tag, and a model-mismatch indicator

## Model aware

Pick the WattBox from a single property and the outlet count, page layout, and pin list size themselves to match, from a one-outlet WB-150 to a 24-outlet custom configuration. Features the hardware does not have are detected rather than assumed: the plugin suppresses power queries on units that cannot answer them, and gates faceplate and network controls on the firmware version the unit reports.

## Why this instead of generic Telnet blocks

The WattBox Integration Protocol is straightforward to drive by hand once. Doing it well means a login state machine that does not lock the account after a bad password, a poll rotation that does not flood the unit, state that survives a reconnect, and capability handling that works across five hardware families. This plugin handles that so the design does not have to.

Changelog

v2.1.0 - Aug 7, 2026

* The Password field is masked after entry so a credential is not left readable on an accessible panel
* No controls added, removed, or renamed - an existing design updates in place and keeps its pin wiring
* Upgrade note: coming from 1.1.0, connection details are runtime controls rather than Properties as of 2.0.0, so IP, port, username, and password must be re-entered after updating

v2.0.2 - Aug 7, 2026

* Toggle controls now show distinct on and off states - the per-outlet Toggle reads white when the outlet is on and grey when it is off, and the auto-reboot Enabled switch is green when enabled. Both previously looked identical in both states
* Recovery became unattended: a login watchdog reconnects when a session opens but the login never completes, and Reboot WattBox tears the session down on the unit's own acknowledgement and reconnects by itself. Both cases previously left the plugin at Authenticating... until someone pressed Connect

v2.0.0 - Jul 28, 2026

* First licensed release - requires a per-Core activation code, with a 10-minute demo mode
* Connection details moved from design-time Properties to runtime controls, so IP and credentials can be set on a running design
* Upgrade note: because the IP address is no longer a Property, its value does not carry over from 1.1.0 - re-enter connection details after updating
* Added per-outlet power metering, UPS telemetry, auto-reboot configuration, and faceplate LED control
* Two-page layout: Status and Outlets
* Model-aware outlet count from WB-150 through WB-800, plus a custom count up to 24
* Capability detection for power metering, faceplate, and network info, re-evaluated on every connect
* Login failure now halts reconnect attempts to avoid locking the account on the unit

v1.1.0 - Jul 2, 2026

* Per-outlet on, off, and reset control with state feedback
* Telnet connection with automatic reconnect
